Dr. Bens Study Suggests Diet and Mood Correlate

Have you ever been in a horrible mood and wondered why? Maybe you had a recent break-up or a bad day at work, but maybe nothing happened at all and you find yourself angry and grumpy all day long and have no idea why.  I want you to reflect the next time you find yourself in a bad mood and jot down all of the things you ate that day.  A recent study conducted my Dr. James Bens suggested that what you eat and your daily diet greatly affects your mood.

Participants in the study were divided into two different groups and neither group knew what the study was about.  Those in a group that ate primarily organic, fresh produce and healthy foods for one week with limited fat and sugar reported an elevated increase in mood and decrease in mood swings.  Participants in the other group which had a heavier intake of sugar and fat and less organic produce experienced tantrums, anger and mood swings much more frequently. This study on diet conducted by skinnyfibernetwork reviews suggests that weight loss and diet are imperative to mood.  If you are overweight, you are more prone to feel angry and have spouts of anger throughout the day. Whereas if you eat healthily and exercise regularly, you will feel happier throughout the day and will be in a more consistent good mood.  Some foods are more likely than others to elevate your mood. These include eating more fruits, vegetables and nuts like almonds.

It’s also important to do regular exercise throughout the day in order to feel better and happier. I recommend yoga or pilates for low impact exercise that focuses on stretching, relaxation and meditation. Stress is definitely a mood killer and if you have a lot going on in your life at work, or in family or relationships, you need to find a healthy way to eliminate stress inducers in your day. Doing yoga or practicing strenuous sport is an excellent way to keep fit, feel healthier and not focus so much on other things in your life.  Bens recommends taking skinny fiber pills for overall health improvement as these pills release endorphins causing you to feel happier and also help aid in weight loss which can be a contributing factor to feeling sluggish, tired and unhappy.  If you are looking for a solution for weight loss, this is definitely a recommended product.  Remember that diet affects mood the next time you reach for a pint of ice cream, go for an apple instead and smile about it. You made the right choice.
